What can you study

• Btec National Diploma in Business (Marketing) Equivalent to three A levels, you will gain a firm grounding in all aspects of how a business operates whilst also studying a number of specialist marketing units. This course is ideal if you want to follow a career in marketing after college or progress to University to study business/marketing. It also means you can apply to join the Marketing Career Academy, with the opportunity to undertake a six week paid internship with a suitable company at the end of Year 1.

Marketing and Public Relations Training Programme leading to the Btec National Diploma in Business (Marketing)

You will receive a detailed introduction to marketing, as well as studying the following specialist units:

• Creative Product Promotion including promotional techniques, the role of advertising agencies/the media and how to create a promotional campaign.
• Marketing Research - involving how to plan and carry out market research using various techniques as well as being able to interpret marketing research findings.
• Understanding Relationship Marketing – this focuses on improving links with customers and ensuring that information gathered is used to improve customer satisfaction.
• Internet Marketing – this includes looking at how promotion has been altered, new products and product development speeded up due to the existence of the internet. You will also examine the role of ICT in marketing.
