and Business Finance (equivalent to 1 A Level) and can be taken alongside A Levels
This qualification will appeal especially to those wishing to enter or gain further knowledge of financial services. It covers a wide range of topics such as retail banking services; savings and investments;
analysing business financial performance; the financial support available for new and growing businesses; regulation within the financial services market and the factors which influence the growth of financial services markets eg the internet.
Level 2 Btec Award in Preparing for Enterprise (90 hours short course)
This course can be taken alongside the Btec First Diploma in Business.
It covers a range of topics involved in setting up your own business including; understanding the benefits of starting a business; planning the finance required; putting together a business plan for starting a business and where to obtain advice and support; and how to market and sell your products to customers.
Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business
and Administration
This will involve the achievement of a Business and Administration NVQ L2; a business qualification; and the development of skills in Communications/Number. The qualification is studied whilst working for a local employer.
Applied GCSE In Business (Double Award)
This provides a thorough grounding in how a business operates. It includes investigating how a business operates, how people work within a business and the financial aspects of running a business.
